In 2021, the British government stated its intention to make the UK the preferred location for sustainable investment with the publication of its roadmap, Greening Finance. Just over a year ago, on October 25, 2022, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published its regulation proposal to combat greenwashing, under the name Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR). These measures include transparency requirements and the classification of investment products based on a label system.

These proposals were the subject of a consultation (with over 240 responses received), which closed on January 25, 2023, and which the FCA used to publish its final version of the Sustainability Disclosure Requirements last November.

To help you navigate through the SDR regulation, we've put together a deciphering guide that you can download by filling in the form below.

It includes several focuses, such as:

  • Anti-Greenwashing rules
  • Labels
  • Naming and marketing
  • Reporting
