ESG data (for Environment, Social and Governance) is at the heart of responsible investors' investment strategies. With growing demand, ever more stringent requirements and regulation, the need for such data is ever greater, and it must be increasingly granular and precise across a multitude of themes.
FIR and WeeFin have joined forces to bring to the attention of the responsible investment community the public sources of ESG data produced by various players: NGOs, associations, international organizations, etc., by publishing a Panorama of them all.
This panorama takes the form of a file to be downloaded from the FIR website. Users will be able to find a wealth of information in several categories for each database: theme, coverage, number of indicators, sources, update frequency, methodology, etc. Several batches will be published in 2025.
For the first batch, published in January 2025, the themes covered will include human rights, transition plans, natural ecosystems, oil & gas and gender equality. Summary sheets of the solutions presented at FIR's ESG Pitch events will also be made available.
